AMI Lab Application Instructions

KAIST AMI Lab is looking for self-motivated prospective applicants. If you are interested in joining AMI Lab, please read the following CAREFULLY.

For all positions (Grad. students, Postdoc, Research Internship, and Research professor)

If you don’t submit your CV and transcript, we may not consider you as a candidate.

AMI Lab Admission Process

For all grad. members joining our lab,
We provide decent packages for the students who join our lab.
Providing competitive stipend by participating in a funding research project + Annual bonus
Providing Macbook Pro per student
For all members promoted to the Ph.D. course,
Exclusive benefits to the students who promote to the Ph.D. course.
We have a branch office in Seoul available for Ph.D. students who completed their coursework.
A chance to attend international conferences or summer schools even without an authored paper.
Research internship is required for graduation (International internship is strongly encouraged)
Since our lab admission process is very competitive, please be prepared as much as you can.

Phase 1: Official Screening

To get an admission of AMI Lab, you can apply to KAIST, School of Computing.
Please apply directly to the school, and get admission first. (Refer to https://admission.kaist.ac.kr/graduate for detailed admission information).
If you have passed the official document screening, we will schedule for the following individual interview.

Phase 2: Interview (Time: to be announced individually) (Location: via Zoom)

Portfolio Presentation (10-15min.)
Each applicant will give a presentation about the projects they had done, their research interests, including self-introduction.
Technical Interview (20-30 min.)
A paper for interview will be sent to the candidate at this stage.
During interview, each applicant will be asked several technical questions about the paper.
